San Diego is a major city in Southern California that is not very far from the Mexican border and city of Tijuana.

When the KPA invaded and took over the western half of the United States, the Greater Korean Republic set up its military headquarters for the New Korean Federation of Occupied America in San Diego.[1] At some point they set up a naval blockade around the city. In 2027, during the Battle of San Francisco, five US Navy destroyers broke through the blockade and it's implied that the KPA military headquarters in San Diego was destroyed. After they broke through, the USS John Paul Jones and Milius were ordered to help these ships in securing the bay.[2]
