The hacking device is a homemade disruptive device featured in Homefront: The Revolution.
Description[]
The device is created by the Resistance to temporarily hack into KPA machinery such as Drones or Stationary Guns. If the device is used on a Seeker drone, it will ignore Brady and will instead fly towards any nearby KPA personnel and explode. If used on a Wolverine drone, Stationary Gun, or armored car, they will attack nearby KPA personnel. However, the hacking effect is temporary since the KPA has advanced countermeasures to reset their systems once they have been reprogrammed or hacked. Brady can also use this device to open electronically-locked doors.
It is important to note that the hacking device has no effect on KPA Goliaths.
Types[]
Thrown Hack[]
The most common type available. Good for weaponizing enemy electronic defense systems such as drones or disorienting surveillance equipment.
Proximity Hack[]
Teddy-bear disguised hack tool. Good for weaponizing enemy drones in heavily protected convoys or escaping them.
Remote Hack[]
A smartphone-detonated variant of the hack tool. Utilizable for stealth ambushes and luring out enemy VIPs such as Liaison officers or officials.
RC Car Hack[]
A hack tool-mounted RC Car. Perfect for intercepting enemy reinforcements with armored vehicles and drones.
