Frag grenade is a stub. Send in reinforcements. We gotta take it back!

A Frag Grenade is an anti-personnel weapon that is designed to disperse shrapnel upon exploding. The body is made of hard plastic or steel. Flechettes, notched wire, ball bearings or the case itself provide the fragments. When the word grenade is used without specification, and context does not suggest otherwise, it is generally assumed to refer to a fragmentation grenade. They are commonly reffered as "Frag".

Singleplayer[]

Grenades are oftenly seen and used in the campaign. Their decent blast radius makes them an ideal weapon for taking out small groups of enemies and stunning the blast survivors, and are the only weapon that effectively destroy the Sentry Towers . Up to four grenades can be carried at once, and are oftenly resupplied from dead KPA Soldiers. Enemies are also able to throw grenades, so keep an eye on the sorroundings to establish an escape route in case they throw one in your position.

Multiplayer[]

Two frag grenades are granted to every player in Homefront Multiplayer. Frag grenades are often used to clear out buildings or elimate large enemy groups. With the use of the ability "Fist full", the player gains an additional 2 grenades, bringing the total to 4. This works very well with the WP Grenade as the WP Grenade will cause the enemy to clear out of move into an uncovered postion and using the Frags to throw in the enemy's moving postion causing multiple kills or a lure.

Trivia[]

  • The in-game fragmentation grenade seems to be the old, WWII-era M-2 Fragmentation Grenade.
  • It might also be a new model with the same appearance, but this is just speculation.
