The 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), abbreviated as 160th SOAR (A), is a special operations force of the United States Army that provides helicopter aviation support for general purpose forces and special operations forces.
History[]
The 160th participated in the Battle of San Francisco during the Korean-American War. Elements of the 160th, consisting of AH-700s, participated in assaulting the northern side of the Golden Gate Bridge.
